Alex and I go way back to our undergrad days at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Much of our undergraduate experience was filled with numerous discussions about life, art and the state of the world. Additionally, we spent several hours crashing events at our neighbor college CASE Western University. Given our history, I was more than enthusiastic when asked if I could shoot her May 2017 wedding. I had an amazing opportunity working with Natalie and Devin this past weekend. They had a beautiful wedding and reception on the west side of Cleveland. While they tied the knot on a 90-degree day, the temperature was a cool breeze in comparison to the newly wed couples warmth of heart. I have had the pleasure of knowing Juanita for a few years. Not only is she sorority sisters with my wife, but she was also the maid of honor at a wedding I prior shot years ago. For this reason, I was extremely enthusiastic when she mentioned she was getting ready to tie the knot and wanted me to be a part of her day. July has been a fantastic month for weddings. I have had not only an amazing opportunity to work with some stellar couples but also some amazing vendors. This wedding also falls into this category.
Tiara and Marcus, have been one of the kindest clients I've had the ability to work with. No matter what happened both during the engagement session and wedding day a smile was never too far away. Their enthusiasm was unmatched making them beyond easy to work with.

Not only are they humorous and fun to be around, but Camille's family also decents from a similar section of Jamaica as my own. It's hard to image that a little over a year ago, I sat with these two planning for what took place June 11th. These two are both amazing people, that I look forward to building a friendship with. Daron Djlokey Henderson has not only been one of Cleveland's most prominent figures in the wedding industry, but he has also been a good friend and mentor to me over the 7-8 years that we've known one another. So it goes without saying that I was extremely honored and ecstatic when asked to shoot his anniversary photos. I’ve always loved to write. I can remember being a young 5th-grade girl and writing stories about my girlfriends and our favorite celebrity crushes for us to pass around and read at recess. My habit, the need to write, was cultivated early.
One thing that I've learned throughout the course of my (soon-to-be) three-year marriage, motherhood, and busy professional life is that maintaining balance is paramount to my family and personal wellbeing. Without finding a way to balance it all, I resort to juggling, knowing that sooner or later, one of the balls will drop. That is something that I cannot afford. As a photographer, I am always looking for ways to improve my craft, for that reason, I decided to participate in this years Linczack Wedding Photography Workshop. I found the workshop extremely informative, and will enter the 2016 wedding season with a new found enthusiasm. I am extremely grateful for the kindness they've shown, and would recommend this experience to any interested photographers.
